Soapmaking classes are held at the Summit Recreation Center in Canton.  Sharon is also available for private and small group lessons, parties and speaking engagements.

Classes are taught by Owner and Founder of The Great Lakes Natural Soap Company, Sharon Czekala. Sharon is an Advanced Certified Professional Soapmaker in Cold Process, Hot Process and Melt & Pour Soapmaking, a Certified Soapmaking Teacher, a Certified Cosmetic Maker and a long-standing member of the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild. Sharon currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of the HSCG and is a former President of the Great Lakes Local Chapter.

Private and Small Group lessons are available anytime. We do parties for kids and adults!

Fall classes at the Summit begin in September and run through March 2019. Private lessons are always available.

Hot Process Liquid Soapmaking

Bring your crock pot and learn to make liquid soaps in this make and take class. We’ll discuss hand soaps, shower gels, and more, while learning about oil selection, fragrances, coloring and preserving and thickening all types of liquid soap. Students must bring a large, electric crock pot to class.

Introduction to Cold Process Soapmaking
