Cutting and Wrapping Soap

Getting ready to cut and wrap some Signature Scents natural glycerin soaps today. They are made in either 18 or 35 bar trays as shown below.



Once solid, they are pressed out of the molds and hand-cut into individual bars.



Durng the soapmaking process, glycerin is formed. We retain all the natural glycerin in our soaps, unlike commercial companies that remove and sell it. Glycerin is wonderful for attracting moisture to your skin. Unfortunately, in humid weather, moisture is attracted to the surface of the soap as well. These soaps contain a high percentage of glycerin, so they need to be completely shrink-wrapped. A heat gun is used to shrink the film and create a tight seal.



The final step is to add a label, and they are ready to go!
